Led for demonstrating weather current is sufficient enough or not. This circuit uses an IGBT instead of 2 BJTs to control the simulated load. For the 12V 30W solar panel that is actually 40 V output. The op-amp is at the driving the input of the main IGBT transistor to ensure it only turn on when enough current is available from solar panel.
