For activity 3, we will be doing an experiment involving transistor and IC filters. Let us review and familiarize ourselves once again with these filter circuits.
a. Reconstruct the circuit for activity 2.
b. Insert a series regulator circuit with the following parameters:
i. R: 220 Ohms
ii. Transistor: NPN
iii. Zener Diode: 60 V Breakdown Voltage
c. Insert a shunt regulator circuit to the original circuit with the same parameters.
d. Insert an op-amp series regulator circuit to the original one with the following parameters:
. R1: 30k Ohms
i. R2: 10k Ohms
ii. R: 1k Ohms
iii. Transistor: NPN
iv. Zener Diode: 15 V Breakdown Voltage
v. Op-Amp Voltage Input: +/- 100V
e. Remove the RC filter from the original circuit and insert a 250-uF capacitor filter, then use any IC from the 7800 series, and add another 0.01 uF capacitor in parallel with the load.
