The circuit is a 555 timer configured as a monostable multivibrator. This circuit can be found in multitude of references such as books, magazines, technical manuals, web pages, etc. but I created this circuit because I have to cite this in some other circuits that I created. Note: I just need a pulse train that starts at a low state, but the clock signal cannot be configured like that so I used a sine wave feeding a zero crossing detector. I wanted a pulse train that starts at low state so that in Simulation settings I can set Initial conditions to "Determine automatically" instead of "User defined". This way the simulation results can be graphed faster. The original circuit where the simulation graphs slowly is in "555 Timer Monostable Multivibrator". From the circuit "555 Timer Monostable Multivibrator": Trigger Pulse Train Duty Cycle = 62.5 % Determine the Phase and Offset of the sine wave to obtain the equivalent trigger pulse train: (100 - 62.5) % = 37.5 % (37.5 %) / 2 = 18.75 % 360° * 18.75 % = 67.5° (270 - 67.5)° = 202.5° (270 + 67.5)° = 337.5° Phase = 202.5° sin(202.5°) = -0.3826834323650897717284599840304 = sin(337.5°) Voltage offset = 382.683 mV
