1) switch S1 on (1) for step response analysis - Run “Transient” simulation during 10 times of RC - Take from the curve response : • the time constant at U2(τ) = 0.368Ep and U2(5τ) = 0.0067Ep • the fall time tf between 90% and 10% of the step response Ep - Compare : • the values of the time constant τ with RC ? • the value of tf with 2.2 τ ? - deduce the response performed by the CR circuit for t >> τ . 2) switch S1 on (2) for frequency response analysis - Run “AC sweep” simulation, for frequency 1 Hz up 1 MHz - Take from the response curve : • the cut off frequency fc, the band width and deduce the function performed by the CR circuit • the difference in phase performed by the CR circuit
