In this example an LC LPF is compared to an RC LPF. The components of both filters are modelled with parasitic elements (i.e ESR and ESL) are are thus conisdered to be non-ideal.
The performance of the LC filter is much better at high frequncies, where there might be a need to attenuate switching noise from a DC-DC converter for example.
