Transistor as a switch

Transistors are electrical switches that is why one of the most common uses of transistor as switches. It means that transistors are turn on and off by electrical current. To connect the transistor as a switch first of all, we connect the output of the device that will switch on the transistor to the base. Next, emitter will connect to the ground of the circuit.
