This is an adjustable voltage regulator using the LM317 three-terminal adjustable-output voltage regulator IC. The input to the adjustable voltage regulator IC is preregulated by another LM317 IC configured for fixed output. The output of the preregulator is referred to the main output, which is the load voltage.
