Circuit Description

Circuit Graph

1. Model the circuit on Multisim as a balanced three phase circuit. Notice that you will have to back-calculate the value of the inductors from the impedance. Determine, using Multisim, the voltage drop across the line impedance, the phase voltages, and the line voltages. Also find the line currents. A sample circuit is shown on the video on Multisim. 2. Short out one of the resistor/inductors on the load end, so that the system is no longer balanced. Repeat the measurements from part 1, and compare the results. 3. Instead of a short circuit, replace one of the load impedances with a very big number – say an increase of a factor on 10K. This is to simulate an open circuit at the load end. Repeat the measurement from parts 1 and 2.
